Collisions (the good kind)

It has been about 8 months now since I joined TVC.  Having spent many years in the national laboratory environment, I often refer to my initial assessment that for many years I was living in the Vatican and how nice it is to get to explore the rest of Rome.  There are so many great things going on from an entrepreneurial perspective all across Rome and I could not be more delighted to be a part of it.  Every single day is about newtoddtaosabqid experiences, new connections, new ideas.  Sometimes it is hard to leave it each day.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of representing TVC at the ABQid Chairlift Pitch contest at the Taos Ski Valley.  The format was pretty simple, an entrepreneur rode the chairlift with three judges and had 10 minutes on the chairlift to pitch their business.  At lunch, the top 4 finalists were announced and at the end of the day, the winner announced. This was just another great creative forum to bring folks together and collaborate, network and share. This is what we do every single day folks, we connect, we assist, we advise, we move forward.  Helping companies launch and succeed is a great thing.

At TVC, we focus on creating an unfair advantage for entrepreneurs in the national laboratory technoloToddHunterbeardgy space. We find time and time again that we have success when we work hard to help folks realize they have something they did not know they had.  This is all about creating unique opportunities for these collisions to occur.  Great job ABQid for hosting a unique collision opportunity.  New relationships were flourishing by the end of the event.

TVC is also busy planning our next event.  Our Lab2Venture event will be May 7, 2015.  This will be yet another opportunity to watch collisions take place.
