Congratulations to TVC client Litehouse International, Inc. on the issuance of two patents on their Foldable Transportable Structure. This is a great milestone in the company’s journey and a considerable intellectual property success as it adds protection and control to their components.
Vince DiGregory, founder and president of Litehouse International, is a well-known local business owner and is the designer of the Foldable Transportable Structure. DiGregory received some technical assistance for his product from the New Mexico Small Business Assistance program. The NMSBA allows New Mexico small businesses access to the expertise and capabilities of lab scientists or engineers at both Los Alamos and Sandia national laboratories.
The lightweight design allows it easy deployment in the field, but when fully erected it is strong enough to resist up to a 140 mph hurricane force wind.
With this product, Litehouse International would like to mobilize and coordinate humanitarian action in partnership with national and international agencies. These temporary shelters also meet the operational and energy-efficient weatherproof structure requirements of the mission scope of the U.S. military market.
DiGregory is also working on a project in the EDo area, which includes an incubator for technology-based startups on Central Ave., near his restaurant the Standard Diner.
