TVC’s Equity Capital Symposia series have served as a vehicle to connect growing startup or expanding high-tech companies with investment opportunities for more than 13 years.  This year, TVC-California teamed up with Claremont Creek Ventures to produce the Third Annual Life Sciences Investor Forum.  The event was held on April 25th, 2007 at the San Francisco Airport Marriott in Burlingame.

Fourteen life science-based companies were selected to present their business cases to an audience of qualified investors looking for choice medical deals.  Additionally, Lawrence Livermore National Lab spotlighted two of their emerging medical technologies.

Our featured luncheon speaker was Dr. Millie Hughes-Fulford, former astronaut, who delighted everyone with images of space travel.  She also presented fascinating information on mammalian cell function in a micro-gravity environment, currently being studied at UCSF.

For more information on our next Investor Forum, please contact the California office at (925) 960-1600.

I've been to several of these and they are both an excellent source of leads and a great chance to interact with quality entrepreneurs.

TVC’s equity capital symposium was a wonderful experience for Triage Wireless: it forced us to refine our business model, sharpen our pitch, and ultimately helped us raise money and build a company. We’re off to a great start thanks to them. Matt Banet
